Horror tries to obtain a negative emotional reaction from the readers/viewers by using the audience's primal fears. Horrors also frequently overlap with the thriller genre. IT was after "Dracula" and "frakenstein both in 1931 the the term horror film appeared.
. Horror films deal with the viewer's nightmares, hidden worst fears and of the unknown. When some films contain a plot about morbidity, serial killers, a disease/virus outbreak and surrealism, they may be called "horror".
stories written often involve an evil force, event, or character, usually of supernatural origin, into the everyday world. Themes or elements that often occur in typical horror films include ghosts, torture, gore, werewolves, ancient curses, satanism, demons, vicious animals, vampires, cannibals, haunted houses, zombies and serial killers. However, stories of the supernatural are not necessarily always a horror movie as well.
