My original idea was to use comedy as the genre of my trailer. However i have now decided to change to horror as it would allow me to use more of the conventions. My horror movie would adopt most aspects from films like Blair witch Project, The Grudge and I Spit On Your Grave.
Trailer Analysis: Conventions i would use for my trailer
Blair witch Project- Most of the shots are handheld making the trailer more realistic and colloquial. Also one of my settings would be located in the woods of St. Helen's where the eerie atmosphere would contribute towards the Gothic conventions of my trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_Hw4bAUj8A
